Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
Small School Champions
We are thrilled to announce that Lisarow Public School has once again secured the coveted Handicap Points Score Champion School title for Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics at the Brisbane Water PSSA Carnivals! This remarkable achievement highlights our students’ dedication, talent and team spirit across all major sporting events. Congratulations to all our athletes, teachers and supporters for making this outstanding success possible.
NSW State Junior Wind Ensemble
Congratulations to Noah on his selection in the NSW State Junior Wind Ensemble. Noah spent a week in Sydney late last term rehearsing and then performing at the Sydney Opera House. He said it was an incredible experience that he will never forget. We are so proud of Noah’s amazing achievement!
Our Literacy Education Shines
Earlier this year, Lisarow Public School proudly hosted 16 teachers for the Regional North Explicit Teaching Showcase. Our teachers led information sessions and demonstration lessons, sharing our school’s approach to explicit literacy instruction. The day was filled with learning, valuable discussions and sharing of resources, making it a great day of professional learning for all.
Debating Team Success
Congratulations to our Lisarow Legends debating team for making school history! The team won four matches to become regional champions, progressing further than ever before in the NSW Premier Debating Challenge. We are proud of Noah, Jamine, Ruby, Harvey, Sienna and Ethan for their teamwork and dedication. Well done, Legends!
