Book Week
Book Week is a special time at Lisarow Public School, where we come together to celebrate a love of reading and storytelling. Throughout the week, students enjoy a range of engaging activities, including a much-loved costume parade and book fair. These events help to spark imagination, promote literacy, and build a strong reading culture across our school community.
NAIDOC Week
Lisarow Public School proudly celebrates NAIDOC Week, honouring the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In partnership with families and community, we share culture through storytelling, art, dance, and meaningful experiences, reflecting our ongoing commitment to deepening cultural understanding and strengthening Aboriginal education.
This year was extra special, as we also celebrated the opening of our Yarning Circle and Aboriginal Mural.
Sports Carnivals
Lisarow Public School proudly holds annual Swimming, Cross Country, and Athletics Carnivals, showcasing the talents and sportsmanship of our students. Our dedication to excellence is reflected in our outstanding success at the Brisbane Water Zone Carnivals, where Lisarow has proudly claimed the handicap winner (based on student numbers) at all three carnivals.
